It also can be a bit of a nuisance to pull out of a pocket, especially if you wear more fitted pants like I do. I've been using this case for about 2 months now and I originally made the decision to purchase it based on several factors. The good side to that, however, is that it is less likely to fall out of your pocket. I wanted a case that was going to offer as much coverage as possible. is enough to get it clean again. I even feel that the buttons are easier to push with this case in place as you don't have to push as hard to get a response. And now the cons.
It was very important to me that the buttons be protected from gunk build up from little hands, being in pockets, etc and I'm very pleased that this gives me that security 100%. Having kids and pets and just general craziness on a daily basis, I hugely appreciate that all of the buttons on the phone are completely covered yet still very accessible. This is the only case I've seen (excluding the very expensive Otterbox) that covers the home button. You are getting much more shock absorption from this case than you would with a hard slim line case.
First, the pros. I have a kind of love/hate relationship with the texture. While it is soft and grippy and durable, it is also a total lint magnet, but the great thing about that is the case is extremely easy to remove and a quick rinse in the sink (and thorough dry after, of course). But be prepared, if it's kept in a pocket a lot and especially if you have pets, it will attract lots of little bits of yuck. I have dropped my phone twice and it is just fine, in large part due to this case, I'm sure. It does add significant bulk to the case but it is justified. There doesn't seem to be another iPhone case on the market that does the job quite as well as the Pixel Skin. So, like I said, it's a love/hate thing.
Love it. It has a very nice tactile grip and I can comfortably hold it in one hand and text, access calendar, shopping list, etc without fear of it slipping out of my hand. ;) The only other minor issue I have with this case is it's bulk. So while it's not the prettiest case in the world, in my opinion, it is definitely some of the best protection for your iPhone available, and at a great price to boot.If you're going for pure looks, want less bulk and aren't as concerned about drops/kids/pets, you would probably be happier with a slider case such as the ones from Casemate.
This product fit perfectly and provided the safe way to carry and still let you access the phone.
I don't wanna repeat them because I second all of them. The major issue (at least for me) is removing the iphone from my jeans pocket. I got the black one. Due to the rubber nature of the case it is sometimes difficult to remove from the pocket and also an issue w/ the collection of lint/dust on the case. It fits snuggly and protects the iphone well. Well, most of you have already read multiple positive reviews about this product. The latter is not a biggie for me as long as it protects the iphone and takes all the beating/dust. However, I have to put this out so that folks who are planning to buy this case is aware of this lint magnet issue.
I needed a protective cover for my iPhone because I was always dropping it, and wanted to cushion its fall. The rubber and its grenade-like texture reminds me of some bike handles: tough, shock absorbent and grippy. It does add bulk, but that doesn't bother me.
Once my iPhone sported a Pixel Skin, it was never dropped again because the Skin gave me and my pockets a reliable grip on it. Other parts are left uncovered, like the ringer on/off button, headset connection hole, all the stuff at the bottom of the iphone (charger connection) and of course, the camera opening. The iPhone was sliding out of pockets, getting knocked off tables, slipping out of my bag.
Some of the buttons are covered, like the main ON button on the front and the volume controls, but it is designed so that the button easily activates when you press on that spot. And I'm sure if I did drop it, the chunky rubber would do a great job of protecting it.The Speck Pixel Skin fits snuggly, and is easy to put on or take off the iPhone. It does not turn pockets inside out.
No blockage of camera view.I got a Blueberry Blue Pixel Skin, and the color is true to that which you see in the item pic. Perhaps because of this I feel like this product is a bit sporty/ ourdoorsy.
of course i do not like the style of this case however, i haven't dropped my iPhone at all since purchasing this. obviously, it does the job.
